I went to the dentist today for the first time in over 3 years. I know, and I’m a bad flosser too. Since I don’t have dental insurance, the cost for the cleaning and x-rays was $173.40 which included a complimentary toothbrush. Why the toothbrush? Why not just knock $100 off my total bill? I would like that much more than a red toothbrush and some floss.

I got the Beta of Windows 7 the other day, and after hearing reports that Windows 7 is more netbook friendly, I decided to try it out. I’m installing it on my Aspire One I’ve modded to 1.5GB RAM and bluetooth.
Step 0: Obtain the Software Get Windows 7 Beta here. It may not be available for long, and if that’s the case and you are familiar with torrents, you can try downloading it from isohunt.com. Once you have the .iso file and a key (all the torrents I found had a key you can use to activate), you’re ready to continue. Try searching on btdig.com

I have been in the market for a netbook ever since Asus announced their ~$200 laptop EEEPC way back, which started a major trend. And now that Asus has released a dozen or so models of the EEEPC and other manufacturers have released their own copycats, I gave the netbook market another look.
A recent article on Engadget caught my eye, revealing an announced price drop on the Aspire One to $350 for the Windows XP version with the 120GB HDD and 1GB RAM. I was interested, and when I saw a Best Buy coupon for $100 off any laptop and an advertisement showing the Aspire One in stock for the following week, I decided to jump.
